Aurélie Schandrin, psychiatre at CHU, highlights that there were many misconceptions surrounding this scary illness. As part of the 21st Schizophrenia Awareness Day, psychiatrist Aurélie Schandrin explores the path to recovery and resilience, “transcending challenges and stigmatization.” With inspiring stories, effective strategies, and essential resources to lead a healthy life with remission of clinical symptoms.
“It was thought twenty years ago that schizophrenia was incurable. Today, we are working towards ensuring that people have a good quality of life, to live better with the symptoms they experience if they persist,” she says positively.
With a positive message that nothing is impossible! Both work (sometimes with RQTH), and family life, “Everyone has the right to have a life plan.” “We follow a young man suffering from schizophrenia as he creates a micro-enterprise and receives an innovation grant…” among other inspiring stories that give hope to patients and their families.
The public conference on “Schizophrenia Recovery” will take place on Monday, March 18th, from 2 pm to 3 pm in the psychiatric building conference room at CHU. It is open to everyone.
